Abstract

L'invention concerne une baignoire à ouverture latérale destinée à être montée par-dessus une baignoire existante et susceptible d'être installée sans démolir ni démonter l'ancienne baignoire et la paroi de confinement associée, et un procédé d'installation de la baignoire à ouverture latérale par-dessus une baignoire existante, comportant les étapes suivantes : - réalisation d'une ouverture de hauteur déterminée dans la paroi latérale de la baignoire existante ; - superposition de la nouvelle baignoire, l'ouverture étant rendue étanche par l'intermédiaire de joints appropriés ; - raccordement et étanchéification des vidages entre l'ancienne et la nouvelle baignoire ; - obturation de l'ouverture latérale au moyen d'une porte équipée de charnière et d'un loquet pour étanchéité.
