Description

METHOD FOR MAKING AVAILABLE VIDEOPHONOGRAMS FOR
ENTERTAINMENT AND/OR ADVERTISEMENT IN COMMERCIAL PLACES
Field of the Invention
The present invention refers to a method for making available videophonograms for entertainment and/or advertisement in commercial establishments, for example, bars, pubs, restaurants and similar, which is based on (a) a computational system that controls a net of credit sales for exhibition of videophonograms and (b) an interface that lists the available videophonograms for exhibition.
Prior art
Currently, few options for electronic audiovisual entertainment are available for commercial establishments, such as bars, pubs, restaurants and similar. In general, these establishments opt- to installing conventional devices for exhibition of videos, for example, plasma, LCD, LED television, video projectors or similar.
In these options, the content restricts to fixed programming that are L imposed by the commercial establishment, for example, television programs from open or commercial net, musical video clips, sports, etc. This content can be disapproved by the public and this type of programming also can generate responsibility to the establishment, for example, due the payment of signatures or the application of penalties for the exhibition of audiovisual content without authorization for presentation in public.
Another way of entertainment is the equipment well-known as · jukebox, which make available musical or audiovisual content to the users by payment. Although these equipments make possible the choice of the content that will be shown, its operation requires the locomotion of the customer up to the position where it is parked, and in many cases, it presents high cost technology and complicated operation/maintenance. -
Therefore, there is a need for means for electronic audiovisual entertainment, which also give interactivity to the costumer, but maintaining comfort, i.e. without need of locomotion or operation of complicated equipments.
Aiming at to surpass the inconveniences above, the Applicant developed a method for making available videophonograms for entertainment and/or advertisement in commercial establishments, that (a) allows the interactivity of the customer, without necessity of effort, (b) manages in efficient way the sequence of videophonograms for demand, as well as the payment of copyrights, (c) allows association of advertisement, (d) making the image . available in a conventional screen and (e) generates profit for establishment.
Description of the Drawings
Figure 1 shows a summarized flowchart of the method for making available videophonograms for entertainment and/or advertisement in commercial establishments according to the present invention.
Figure 2 shows a flowchart with details of the step (2) and (3) according to the flowchart of figure 1.
Description of the Invention
The present invention refers to a method for making available videophonograms for entertainment and/or advertisement in commercial establishments, for example, bars, pubs, restaurants and similar, which is based on (a) a computational system that operates and manages a net of credits sales for videophonograms exhibition and (b) an interface that lists the available videophonograms for exhibition by means of purchase by the customer (menu).
Said method differs from those available in the state of the art, since it provides comfort to the customer in the election of the videophonograms and, simultaneously, comes to solve the management of information for the payment of royalties to the owner of the copyright.
The association of the computational system that operates and manages the net of sales of credits with the interface that makes available to the customer the listing of the available videophonograms for purchase and exhibition are essential for the method in accordance with the present invention. This is due the fact that the computational system contains a suitable hardware/software and a listing that is available in accessible format to the user.
The computational system in accordance with the present invention contains a computer installed in the commercial establishment. Said computer contains fixed HD, having the function of storage, sending, receiving, transmitting, reproducing and showing both data and digital content, being software, messages, images, videos or audios. Also it allows the user acquires exhibitions by means of any mode of payment known of the state of the art, such as money, debit or credit cards, atm, etc.
This computer is endowed with software for management and exhibition of videophonograms. This software is intended to be both runner and organizer for video clips and advertisements, executing the digital content stored in the hardware and/or the digital content that will be transmitted to it.
This software can operate separately in a local computer or connected to a central server (remote computer). The local computer that is running in the commercial establishment can, therefore, function connected or not to the central computer. The central server and the local computers can change data, digital information and archives through Internet, Intranet and other types of computer network, using common telephonic line, broad band connections, such as ADSL, isdn, Internet by radio, wire modem, satellite, cell phone or other connection types. In this embodiment, the central server is responsible for the management and storage of data and can be or not be installed in external place.
For security of the archives, advanced cryptography and sole for each device is used, thus making it difficult the key broken. Each program functions, only with one specific device that will contain a random key (without standard) preventing the creation of "automatic generators of key".
In particular embodiment, the download and upload executor system will be transmitted by the central computer, providing a total control, including the visualization of statisticians of the videos executed by means of purchase of the customer or not. In this statistics it is possible to verify, in real time, which videos are running in each region, city, schedule, etc.
These data are stored in the computers and also they are transmitted to the central server with the intention of control and payment of royalties.
As soon as it is initiated in the computer, the system consults whether there is an external linking with devices of TV, projectors, monitors or similar. When identified, the system automatically executes the movie player in these screens and executes the launching applicative in the main monitor of the computer.
The software is able to recognize different digital formats in order to run them correctly. The repertoire of videophonograms is varied. These only can be shown with authorization of owners, liberating the commercial establishments of management difficulties and payment of royalties.
In particular way, the central computer is responsible for receiving the data and information from the local computers (located in the commercial . establishments) and processes reports to generate the values to be paid as royalty for the exhibition of the videophonograms.
Therefore, previous authorization must be obtained from the owners of the copyrights for insertion of the videophonograms in the menu, and therefore be part of the repertoire that will be offered to the users of the establishments where the system will be installed.
From the moment where the button of beginning or starting is initiated, the system verifies in the database, whether there is a request. In case that it exists, the execution is initiated in agreement the launching order. If there is no registered request, the system would select a video in a random form and executes it, showing along with this video an advertisement message, informing through legend that the customer will be able to request the menu and to select one or more video clips by its respective codes. In this case, the operator can previously establish the music sorts to be touched.
While no request is done, the operator also can create one "play list" of sorts wherein the computer will use to select video clips in a random way. At any time a code of order of some customer could be typed, which will have the preference in the execution of the next videophonogram.
The central computer continuously communicates with the local computers in order to bring up to date the content and to do remote maintenance.
Also the system allows that new recording and selection menus can ' be downloaded for each computer by means of a transmission link. When the space to store the digital content is crowded, the system erases the old archives and substitutes them for new ones, thus eliminating residues and allowing that new recording are transferred to the memory of each computer. The old recording is simply extinguished, if necessary.
The costumer of the commercial establishment can select the preferred videophonogram by using an interface that makes available a listing of the accessible options for purchase and exhibition. This interface functions as a menu of videophonograms (musical menu - cardapio musical). Without imposing limitation the present invention, and in particular way, this interface can be , available in the form of a printed magazine, wherein all the choice options present an identification code and a description of the content. This facilitates the choice and request of the videophonogram of interest. In addition, the interface will be able to contain other accessible ways in the technique, for example, electronic ways as mini computers, palmtops, etc.
In the case of several orders, these will be in an automatic wait. In the case of wrong launching the video can be excluded.
In the environment where video clips will be shown, also advertisement videos from customers or partners can be shown, in the intervals between video clips or jointly, by means of animations that do not affect the original content of musical video clip, being able to divulge artists and products.
An animation or commercial trademark overlapping the video could also be presented during the execution.
Optionally, a text can be typed at the moment of the launching to be presented as subtitle. Along with the order the customer is able to order a message to be shown during the video clip execution in the form of subtitles, for example: "from Joao to Maria". In the absence of a message, the system uses a standard message that is the number or identification of the table or costumer, for example: "table 1 or ordered by Joao".
Grades or lists with requests to be executed or already executed are visible to the operator, also informing the .time that each request was shown. Optionally the system also informs the table or costumer that asked for to the video and the code of the executed video.
There also exists the possibility of research for video name, sort, artist, etc. The system also contains an automatic equalizer to prevent distortions and unevenness of volume in the video exchange.
The operation of the method for making available videophonograms for entertainment and/or advertisement in commercial establishments in accordance with the present invention is illustrated in figure 1.
As summarized in figure 1 , the user selects, as options of the menu, the desired videophonogram (step .1) and gives to the uses / attendant of the establishment (step 2) in order to be executed (step 3). Optionally, in accordance with the chosen operation system, the local computer could communicate with the external server (stage 2A).
Figure 3 details steps 2 and 3 wherein A means 'beginning or start', B means 'verify whether the movie play system is running', B1 means 'run the movie play system', C 'means open the window for video request and start cJ II*, D means 'verify whether there is a request', E means 'start the exhibition of the requested video clip', F 'means save the video clip exhibition data', G means 'the exhibition of random video clip', H means 'run a amount X of the videos (configurable)' and I means 'run spots and commercial movies'.
Therefore, the customer without a need to leave its place orders to the attendant the code related to the desired videophonograms, as informed in the menu that is available to customers and the attendant or operator of the establishment launches in the computer for the system executes the exhibition.
The customer orders the request to the waiter/attendant (or directly in the equipment by means of electronic commands) in order to register in the database and enter in the queue to wait its execution.
The menu contains the name and the code of all video clips and the description of related interpreters.
All these stages functioning jointly are essential to the system to operate in a correct form, providing financial income.
The net of sales of credits for exhibition of videophonograms and exhibition of advertisement videos is a system based on technology that has as objective to provide increase of invoicing in a commercial establishments, from the exhibition of musical video clips. The method in accordance with the present invention makes possible to the commercial establishment total easiness in the management of the content that is shown, as well as makes available modules that provide the costumer interactivity, promoting the satisfaction, and at the same time, being able to configure marketing tool to present several types of announcements, as dedications, commercial, etc.
