Abstract

In one exemplary embodiment of the invention, an anti-theft gripping device for functional display of a handheld device comprises a body, first and second arm assemblies, a rotatable draw pin, and means for attaching the gripping device to an electronic theft detection system. The first and second arm assemblies extend upwardly from the body. The first arm assembly is movably disposed relative to a first side of the body, and the second arm assembly is movably disposed relative to a second side of the body. Each of the first and second arm assemblies comprises a retention structure for extending and retracting the respective arm assembly along a Z-axis relative to an upper surface of the body. The rotatable draw pin is for extending and retracting the first and second arm assemblies simultaneously along an X-axis relative to the first and second sides of the body.
