Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'obtention d'un produit de tabac contenant des antioxydants à partir de la feuille et des fruits d'Euterpe oleracea (açaï). Ce produit de tabac peut être incorporé au tabac à fumer (Nicotiana tabacum) en vue d'une utilisation dans la fabrication de cigarettes, de cigarillos, de cigares, de tabac pour pipe ou de produits appliqués sur la muqueuse buccale. Ledit produit permet de réduire le stress oxydatif et/ou la réaction inflammatoire causée par le tabac à fumer et, par conséquent, de prévenir les lésions de l'appareil respiratoire, du système cardiovasculaire et du système immunitaire.
