Abstract

The invention relates to a papery composite having barrier properties (heat- and noise-insulating properties, anti-radiation properties, thermally stable and filtering properties and other special properties), which is manufactured on traditional paper-making equipment. The composite has increased thermal, chemical and biostability and increased liquid absorbency without the capacity to swell. The material comprises mineral fibres and organic or inorganic binders on the basis of polyvalent metal salts. The apparatus for producing the composite material is a paper-making machine (PMM). The composite comprises sheet and roll material differing in mass with a density of 1 m2 and with a wide range of strength and deformation characteristics.
