  • the at least one upper radial bearing of the rudder stock 2 is located in the steering engine and is here represented by a radial bearing 14 in the top cover and a radial bearing 15 in the bottom cover.
  • a rudder radial bearing 16 is located in the bottom cover 7.
  • the hydraulic nut 8 is mounted on top of the rudder stock 2 and is locked so that there are no relative motions between the nut 8, rotor 4 and rudder stock 2. During normal operation of the rudder there are a small clearance between the retaining ring 9 on the hydraulic nut and the hydraulic cylinder 10. In order to lift the rudder stock 2 it is necessary to lift the hydraulic cylinder, and the fastener- /adjusting devices 1 1 are loosened to allow for this.
  • the hydraulic cylinder 10 By applying pressure on the hydraulic piston 12 through the supply channel 13 the hydraulic cylinder 10 must be raised and collided with the retaining ring 9 on the hydraulic nut 8. The hydraulic cylinder would then raise rotor 4, rudder and rudder stock 2 to the desired position, about 0,5-1 ,0 mm. The reactive power from rotor, rudder stuck and rudder is then transferred from the bottom cover 7 to the rotor housing 4 and further to the hull of the ship. The vertical position is maintained by maintaining the pressure in the supply channel 13 until bottom cover 7 is detached from the rotor housing. Afterward the pressure in the supply channel 13 is reduced, after which the cylinder will be brought down to the top of the top cover 6.
  • the supply channel 13 is pressurised so that the rudder stock 2 is raised and the bottom cover 7 can be remounted in place.
  • the hydraulic cylinder 10 will once again be brought down on top of the top cover 6, and the weight of the rotor, rudder stock and rudder will again be brought down on the rudder radial bearing.
  • the operation is ended by tightening up the fastening- / adjusting devices so that the hydraulic cylinder 10 is fastened to the cover.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant d'élever une mèche de gouvernail (2) sur un bateau afin de soulager le roulement radial de gouvernail (16), la mèche de gouvernail (2) étant équipée d'un servo-moteur de barre fixé à la mèche de gouvernail (2) à l'aide d'un écrou hydraulique (8) et le servo-moteur de barre étant relié à la structure du bateau (3). Le dispositif est une partie intégrée du servo-moteur de barre et comprend un couvercle supérieur (6) pour le servo-moteur de barre comprenant un cylindre hydraulique intégré (10), le cylindre hydraulique comprenant en outre un piston hydraulique (12), au moins un canal d'alimentation (13) pour de l'huile hydraulique et au moins un dispositif de fixation et de réglage (11).
