Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lock for a luggage box mounted in the cabin of an aircraft at the top, which has a stationary housing and a cover which can be moved about a rotation axis, with a locking bolt device which can be attached or attached to the housing and which carries at least one locking bolt, with one on the cover attachable or attached latch with at least one pivotable about a pivot axis locking hook for detecting the locking bolt for locking the lock and with a manually operable drive means for pivoting away
  • the main function of such a lock is to securely lock and unlock the lid or luggage tub or chute of a luggage box in all flight conditions, including emergency landing conditions.
  • the drive means within the lock is connected by a mechanical link to a control knob or handle mounted on the deck so as to be operable from outside the luggage box.
  • the operation of the knob or handle leads in the known lock to a rotational movement of the mechanical link, through which the lock is unlocked.
  • the lock is designed so that inadvertent opening in the loaded or unloaded state of the luggage box. is prevented.
  • the latch of the lock has a fail-safe function. This purpose serves a double lock.
  • This double locking is done in the known lock on the one hand by a locking pin, which is detected by a locking hook, and on the other by a locking pin which protrudes from the case when the lid of the luggage box is open, but at the closing of the lid of the luggage box by the locking bolt means is pressed into the housing of the trap.

  • a lock for housing, tool boxes or the like is known.
  • This lock has two locking pins on a cover and two pivotable about a pivot axis locking hook, which are pivoted together by a manually operable drive means.
  • a luggage box in an aircraft must have two locks, which can be operated by a common operating button. The famous castle is not suitable for this. It can be actuated by two push buttons located to the left and right of the lock. The push buttons are connected to the locking hooks by a common rigid actuator, by the displacement of the two locking hooks are pivoted together.
  • Such a lock should not be used in the luggage box of an aircraft, because the locking hooks are not individually operable. If a locking hook should be blocked, the other locking hook would be blocked by him.
  • a lock for locking a sliding door on a door frame is known.
  • the castle includes two each one
  • Pivot axis pivotable locking hooks which are pivoted together by means of a drive device in the form of a rack. Also, this known lock would not be used in a luggage box of an aircraft, because both locking hooks, at least in the opening direction, are only jointly pivoted. If a locking hook would be blocked in the closed state, the other locking hook could not be opened by means of the drive device.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a lock of the type mentioned in such a way that it avoids the aforementioned disadvantages and in particular can be used in a luggage box, even if the operating knob or - handle is not on the axis of the case.
  • This object is inventively achieved in that the locking bolt device carries two locking bolts that the case two in each case by one

  • This makes it easy to use the fail-safe (double locking) and positive locking functions required in aviation technology.
  • the latter is achieved according to the invention in that the toggle levers can each be brought into an end-position blocking position in which they are mechanically locked and thus automatically prevent the lock from cracking due to overload or vibration.

If the locking tongs associated with the rack are clamped closed and can not be unlocked by manual operation using the emergency lever, the lock remains locked and must be serviced. This means that the luggage can only be removed after the repair.

  • Neither the primary lock nor the secondary lock can be released by force on the locking hooks 51, 51 b, because the toggle lever 74, 74b in the locked position are each in their Endlagensperrgna, as explained above.
  • the latch 10 can still be locked in the latched position by means of the secondary latch by the bellcrank 74b. If, in the event of a malfunction, only the locking on the locking hook 51 b and the locking pin 32 b takes place, because of the game between the locking hook 51 b and the locking pin 32 b, the lid in the closed state something out of the luggage box 40, so that a disturbance from the outside can be seen without further ado. Nevertheless, since the lid 46 is securely locked, the aircraft is allowed to start. List of symbols lock
