Abstract

【課題】偏光フィルタを当該識別媒体から離した位置としても複数の色彩を持った潜像を観察可能な識別媒体を提供する。 【解決手段】特定の偏光状態の光を反射する特定偏光反射層としてコレステリック液晶層102を備え、その上の重なる位置に屈折率異方性を有する光学異方性層106を設ける。光学異方性層106に周囲と異なる光学異方性を有する領域から構成される像Aを形成する。識別媒体100を直視すると、光学異方性の影響が見えず、像Aは見えない。円偏光フィルタを介して観察すると、光学異方性の影響で像Aが特定の色彩で見える。
