A light source device provided with a first electrical connector and housing the light source device configured to be replaceable;
An opening formed in the housing for replacing the light source device;
A cover that is detachable from the housing and closes the opening;
A second electrical connector provided in the housing and mated with the first electrical connector;
A pressing unit that is provided on the cover and presses the light source device in a direction in which the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector are fitted when the light source device is housed in the housing; A projection type display device.
