Abstract

Vorrichtung zum Betreiben von LEDs, aufweisend ein Treiber-Modul (1), und ein von dem Treiber-Modul (1) angesteuertes LED-Modul (5) mit wenigstens zwei LEDs (LED1, LED2), wobei das Treiber-Modul (1) einen Schaltregler enthält, wobei zumindest in einem Betriebsmodus eine erste LED (LED1) so angesteuert wird, dass sie leuchtet, und die zweite LED (LED2) in einem Reversbetrieb als Photodiode genutzt wird und zumindest einen Teil des Lichtes der ersten LED (LED1) empfängt, und eine Messung an der zweiten LED (LED2) erfolgt, wobei die Messung an der zweiten LED (LED2) zur Ermittlung eines Betriebsparameters des LED-Moduls (5) dient und diese Messung an der zweiten LED (LED2) erfolgt, während die zweite LED (LED2) überbrückt ist.
