Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for controlling the travel mode of an electric vehicle. The present invention relates to a method for controlling the travel mode of an electric vehicle driven by a motor, wherein said travel mode includes a sound mode for the sound of the electric vehicle during travel of the electric vehicle and a torque mode for the torque of the motor during the travel of the electric vehicle, and wherein said method comprises the steps of: sensing whether the RPM of the motor is gradually decreasing or gradually increasing so as to output an engine sound in accordance with the variation of the RPM of the motor; and outputting the engine sound, after adjusting the tune and beat in proportion to the variation of the RPM, on the basis of the sensed result, to thereby control the sound mode.
