Abstract

The invention relates to a profile section (1) for fire-resistant joinery made of wood, including at least one reinforcement part (6) that is more fire-resistant than said wood, with a view to reinforcing the fire-resistance of said profile section, at least one accessory attached by attaching means (10) to said profile section, in particular an accessory (9) for connecting a door to a frame. Said attaching means, such as screws (10), directly rigidly connect said accessory to said reinforcement (6), such that said accessory is retained rigidly connected to the profile section (1) in the event of a fire even if a large portion of the wood of the profile section (1) is consumed. The invention also relates to a corresponding manufacturing method. The profile sections according to the invention are mainly used in fire-resistant frontages for service shafts, in fire-resistant door units, and in fire-resistant access doors.
