Abstract
Lithium titanate, a conductive auxiliary agent, and fibrous carbon are mixed to obtain a mixture. The mixture, crystalline activated carbon, and a binder are mixed to obtain a compound material containing lithium titanium secondary particles each having a surface to which the conductive auxiliary agent and the fibrous carbon are attached, the crystalline activated carbon, and the binder. The compound material is shaped to obtain a negative electrode layer. Next, the negative electrode layer and the positive electrode layer containing the crystalline activated carbon are immersed in a electrolyte liquid containing quaternary onium salt and lithium salt so as to assemble an electrochemical capacitor.
