Its objective is to enable efficient use of the water running from the tap by optimizing the heat of the water heated within the boiler and achieving the maximum efficiency.
Description
SECONDARY EXCHANGER
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a secondary exchanger, also called secondary heat exchanger, which is used to transfer heat to domestic water by the circulation of the water heated within the boiler, and which changes the temperature of the water in the hot water tank.
Background of the Invention
Secondary exchangers provided in the boilers used in the state of the art enable adjustment of the hotness of the water and hotness of the water is brought to an optimum level by means of the secondary exchanger.
During use of the boilers known in the art, when the hot water tap is turned on, hot water starts to run from the tap after a certain period of time. This situation causes waste of time and water. Consequently high efficiency can not be attained. In the state of the art, copper tube is used as a resistance and the diameters of the tubes and the tube axis distances are different in the said secondary exchanger.
The International patent application No. WO 03033969 and Japanese patent application No. JP 2005024109 discuss subjects like determination of the effects of the heat exchangers, their mode of employment, the fact that flow of the liquids should be arranged and that surface areas should be enlarged. The French patent application No. Fr 2722560 discloses traveling directions of two liquids, between which heat exchange occurs, relative to each other.
Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to enable efficient use of the water running from the tap by optimizing the heat of the water heated within the boiler and achieving the maximum efficiency.
Detailed Description of the Invention
Figure 1 is the perspective detail view of a secondary exchanger. Figure 2 is the perspective outer view of a secondary exchanger. Figure 3 is the top view of a secondary exchanger. Figure 4 is the perspective view of the tubes within a secondary exchanger.
The components in the figures are numbered individually where the numbers refer to the following:
1. Secondary exchanger
2. Lower connection
3. Domestic water inlet 4. Domestic water outlet
5. Upper connection
6. Installation water return
7. Installation water inlet
8. Reservoir 9. Inner tube
10. Outer tube
11. Back cover
12. Front cover
The inventive secondary exchanger (1) comprises
a lower connection (2) through which the domestic water inflows and outflows, a domestic water inlet (3), between the outer tube (10) and the inner tube (9), through which cold water inflows, - a domestic water outlet (4), between the outer tube (10) and the inner tube
(9), through which hot water outflows, an upper connection (5) through which the installation water inflows and returns,
- an installation water return (6), in the inner tube (9), through which the cold water inflows to the primary exchanger,
- installation water inlet (7), in the inner tube (9), through which the water within the installation after getting heated outflows through the primary exchanger,
- a reservoir (8) which stores hot water required for instantaneous use, - an inner tube (9) through which the installation water passes,
- an outer tube (10) through which domestic water passes,
- and a back cover (11) and a front cover (12) which provide inflow and outflow of the water with a predetermined volume and keep the water in the installation.
In the secondary exchanger (1) arranged within the boiler, there are provided one domestic water inlet (3), one domestic water outlet (4), one installation water return (6) and one installation water inlet (7). Lower connections of the secondary exchanger (1) belong to domestic water while the upper connections thereof belong to installation water. The secondary exchanger (1) brings the domestic water to desired temperature by providing heat transfer between installation water and domestic water.
There is a reservoir (8) within the secondary exchanger (1) for maintaining a certain amount of water of desired temperature as a reserved amount when domestic water is needed. The region, where the water passing through the nested
tubes (one inside the other) is separated, is opened to the water reservoir (8) and maintains the temperature of the reserved water to a certain temperature. Main reason of separation of the water is to optimize the temperature of water by creating turbulence at the part of the water reservoir (8) outlet close to the user. The said reservoir (8) provides saving in water and gas usage owing to the hot water it contains.
The secondary exchanger (1) is comprised of two nested tubes. By providing circulation of installation water through the inner tube (9), the domestic water between the outer tube (10) and the inner tube (9) and within the reservoir is heated. The inner tube (9) is in the form of a closed circuit circulating within the radiators when there is no demand for domestic water, and within the boiler when there is a demand for domestic water. The components in the secondary exchanger
(I) comprise stainless steel frame, formed copper tube, and two copper tubes specially designed for domestic water inlet (3) and domestic water outlet (4).
Furthermore, the secondary exchanger has a rectangular form. The back cover
(I I) and front cover (12) located on the secondary exchanger (1) ensure that the determined amount of water is kept within the installation. When the amount of water is too much or too little, inflow or outflow of water to or from the installation is performed by means of the said covers (11, 12).
The flame temperature within the burner and the temperature within the combustion chamber increase the temperature of the outflowing installation water. The domestic water is heated upon transfer of the said temperature thereto. In the meantime, temperature of the cooled installation water is increased by being re- circulated within the boiler. When temperature of the domestic water is higher than the desired value, the height of the flame in the boiler is decreased and temperature of the domestic water is ensured to remain at the desired value.
