Abstract

L'invention concerne un actionneur magnétique homopolaire qui est conçu pour appliquer des forces radiales pouvant être commandées sur un corps capable de tourner autour d'un axe. L'actionneur comprend au moins trois ensembles de pôles magnétiques radiaux répartis à certaines distances les uns des autres le long de l'axe, chacun comprenant une pluralité de pôles adjacents à une cible d'actionneur sur le corps. Des aimants permanents sont utilisés afin d'induire des flux magnétiques de polarisation dans les ensembles, les polarités alternant d'un ensemble à l'autre mais restant identiques autour de l'axe de rotation. Le fait d'avoir plusieurs flux de polarisation faibles répartis entre plusieurs ensembles de pôles plutôt qu'un seul flux de polarisation important facilite la conception d'un actionneur à rapport d'aspect élevé. Une bobine de commande autour de chaque pôle permet d'induire un flux magnétique de commande dans les pôles. Ces flux de commande affectent la répartition des flux magnétiques autour de la cible de l'actionneur, ce qui se traduit par des forces magnétiques s'exerçant sur la cible.
