Abstract

A propeller drive arrangement for controlling and driving a ship (1) is proposed, comprising at least one drive motor (3) arranged in the hull (2), comprising at least one gearbox (5), and further comprising at least one control case (7) having at least one propeller (8) on an output shaft (6), wherein the gearbox (5) and the control case (7) are arranged outside of the ship’s hull (2), and wherein the control case (7) is arranged pivotably on the gearbox (5) for controlling the ship (1) via a control shaft. According to the invention, the gearbox (5) is arranged substantially below a stern platform (10).
