Abstract

The present invention discloses a stent for a blood vessel. The stent for a blood vessel comprises: (i) an artificial blood vessel A made of fabric; and (ii) an upper cylindrical stent B1, a middle cylindrical stent B2 and a lower cylindrical stent B3 which are made of wire and separated from each other, wherein said upper cylindrical stent B1 and lower cylindrical stent B3 are monolithically fixed by suture on the inner surface of the artificial blood vessel A, and said middle cylindrical stent B2 is fixed by suture to the outer surface of the artificial blood vessel A, and the top end portion T of the upper cylindrical stent B1 has a shape of fallopian tube with the diameter gradually increasing toward the top end thereof and is protruded out of said artificial blood vessel A. The present invention can effectively prevent the blood passing through the blood vessel from leaking out into the space between the top end portion and the rear end portion of the stent for a blood vessel installed on the blood vessel wall and in the blood vessel and make operation easy by preventing the phenomenon in which the guide wire is caught on the cylindrical stent during operation of inserting the stent for a blood vessel into the blood vessel.

Description

STENT USED IN BLOOD VESSEL
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a stent for a blood vessel, more specificεdly to a stent for a blood vessel which effectively prevents the phenomenon in which the blood passing through the blood vessel leaks out into the space between the front end portion and the rear end portion of the stent for a blood vessel that is installed on the blood vessel wall and in the blood vessel, and which is also easy to perform an operation therewith. BACKGROUND ART
The stent for a blood vessel consists of an artificial blood vessel (graft) made of fabric and a cylindrical stent made of wire and having a lengthwise axis, and is used to treat the phenomenon in which blood passing through the blood vessel leaks out of the blood vessel to the region around it
As a stent for a blood vessel is widely used conventionally, there is one which consists of an artificial blood vessel (graft) made of fabric, and in which all the parts of the cylindrical stent made of wire and having εi lengthwise axis are monolithically fixed by suture to the outer surface of the artificial blood vessel. In other words, such a stent for a blood vessel is a structure in which the whole of the cylindrical stent is inserted over the outside of the artificial blood vessel (graft). But the conventional stent for a blood vessel described above has a problem in that a phenomenon, in which the blood passing through the blood vessel leaks out into the space between the front end portion and the rear end portion of the stent for a blood vessel that is installed on the blood vessel wall and in the blood vessel, occurs severely during an operation on the blood vessel.
As another stent for a blood vessel widely used conventionally, there is one which consists of an artificial blood vessel (graft) made of fabric and in which all the parts of the cylindrical stent made of wire and having a lengthwise axis are monolithically fixed by suture on the inner surface of the artificial blood vessel. In other words, such a stent for a blood vessel is a structure in which the whole of the cylindrical stent is inserted into the artificial blood vessel (graft) and fixed thereto.
But the conventional stents for a blood vessel described above have a problem in that operation is inconvenient because a phenomenon, in which the guide wire is caught on the cylindrical stent inserted into the artificial blood vessel, is severe during an operation of inserting the stent for a blood vessel into the blood vessel. DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION (TECHNICAL PROBLEM)
The present invention is to solve such conventional problems with an object to provide a stent for a blood vessel whereby not only operation is easy but also it is possible to effectively prevent the phenomenon in which blood passing through the blood vessel leaks out into the space between the top end portion and the rear end portion of the stent for a blood vessel that is installed on the blood vessel wall and in the blood vessel for operation. (TECHNICAL MEANS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM)
In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a stent for a blood vessel comprising: (i) an artificial blood vessel A made of fabric; and (ii) an upper cylindrical stent Bl, a middle cylindrical stent B2 and a lower cylindrical stent B3 which are made of wire and separated from each other, wherein said upper cylindrical stent Bl and lower cylindrical stent B3 are monolithically fixed by suture on the inner surface of the artificial blood vessel A, and said middle cylindrical stent B2 is fixed by suture to the outer surface of the artificial blood vessel A, and the top end portion T of the upper cylindrical stent Bl has a shape of fallopian tube with the diameter gradually increasing toward the top end thereof and is protruded out of said artificial blood vessel A. (ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS)
The present invention can effectively prevent the blood passing through the blood vessel from leaking out into the space between the top end portion and the rear end portion of the stent for a blood vessel installed on the blood vessel wall and in the blood vessel and make operation easy by preventing the phenomenon in which the guide wire is caught on the cylindrical stent during operation of inserting the stent for a blood vessel into the blood vessel. Below the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. First, the stent for a blood vessel of the present invention comprises, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, (i) an artificial blood vessel A made of fabric, and (ii) an upper cylindrical stent Bl, a middle cylindrical stent B2 and a lower cylindrical stent B3 which are made of wire and separated from each other. Figs. 1 and 2 are photographs of a stent for a blood vessel according to the present invention.
The upper cylindrical stent Bl and the lower cylindrical stent B3 are monolithically fixed by suture to the inner surface of the artificial blood vessel A, and the middle cylindrical stent B2 is fixed by suture to the outer surface of the artificial blood vessel A.
And as shown in Fig. 3, the top end portion T of the upper cylindrical stent Bl has a shape of fallopian tube with the diameter gradually increasing toward the top end thereof, and is protruded out of the artificial blood vessel A.
Fig. 3 is an enlarged photograph of the top end portion of the stent for a blood vessel according to the present invention.
As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the artificial blood vessel A is in a cylinder form having a lengthwise axis and is made of fabric.
The artificial blood vessel A has one or more, preferably one to five blood passing holes 1, punched.
The stent for a blood vessel of the present invention comprising the artificial blood vessel A with blood passing holes 1 punched is useful for treating a branched blood vessel.
Figs. 4 and 5 are perspective views of an artificial blood vessel A composing the stent for a blood vessel of the present invention.
As shown in Figs. 6 and 7, the upper cylindrical stent Bl has a structure in which valley portions V of a topmost wire Wl composing the stent and peak portions P of a wire W2 located just below the topmost wire cross each other to form rhombic cells 2. This structure is effective for preventing blood from leaking out between the blood vessel wall and the top end portion of the stent for a blood vessel.
Figs. 6 and 7 are partially enlarged views showing the structure of an upper cylindrical stent B 1 composing the stent for a blood vessel of the present invention.
As shown in Fig. 6, a plurality of fixing hooks 3 are formed at the top end portion T of the upper cylindrical stent B 1 protruded out of the artificial blood vessel A, and they can be effectively used to fix the stent for a blood vessel to the blood vessel wall.
As shown in Fig. 8, the middle cylindrical stent B2 includes a plurality of wires W5, W6 and W7 in which valley portions V and peak portions P are alternatingly formed to make a bent shape.
Fig. 8 is a partially enlarged view showing the structure of a middle cylindrical stent B2 composing the stent for a blood vessel of the present invention.
As shown in Fig. 9, the lower cylindrical stent B3 has a structure in which peak portions P of a bottommost end wire WlO composing the stent and valley portions V of a wire W9 arrayed just above the bottommost end wire cross each other to form rhombic cells 2. This structure is effective for preventing the phenomenon in which the backflowing blood leaks out between the blood vessel wall and the rear end portion of the stent for a blood vessel.
Fig. 9 is a partially enlarged view showing the structure of a lower cylindrical stent B3 composing the stent for a blood vessel of the present invention.
And as shown in Fig. 6, peak portions P of a wire W2 located just above the blood passing hole 1 punched on the artificial blood vessel A has a structure in which they are crossed each other with the valley portions V of a wire Wl located above it so as to form rhombic cells 2, whereas valley portions V of a wire W3 located just below the blood passing hole 1 has a structure in which they are crossed each other with peεik portions P of a wire W4 located just below it so as to form rhombic cells 2. This structure is all the more preferable from the standpoint of improving durability or shape stability for the pressure generated when blood passes through the blood passing hole 1.
In addition, supporting wires S for connecting the valley portions V of the wire located at the over the blood passing hole 1 lengthwise of the cylindrical stent and the peak portions P located at the under the blood passing hole 1 are installed respectively on the left and right of the blood passing hole 1. Also, this structure is all the more preferable from the standpoint of improving durability or shape stability for the pressure generated when blood passes through the blood passing hole 1. INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
The present invention is used as a stent for a blood vessel for treating the phenomenon in which the cells on the blood vessel wall were damaged so the blood passing through the blood vessel leaks out of the blood vessel to the place around it.
Although the present invention has been described in connection with the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings, it is only illustrative. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that various modifications and equivalents can be made to the present invention. Therefore, the true technical scope of the present invention should be defined by the appended claims.

Claims

WHAT IS CLAIMED IS:
1. A stent for a blood vessel comprising: (i) an artificial blood vessel A made of fabric; and (ii) an upper cylindrical stent Bl, a middle cylindrical stent B2 and a lower cylindrical stent B3 which are made of wire and separated from each other, wherein said upper cylindrical stent Bl and lower cylindrical stent B3 are monolithically fixed by suture on the inner surface of the artificial blood vessel A, said middle cylindrical stent B2 is fixed by suture to the outer surface of the artificial blood vessel A, and the top end portion T of the upper cylindrical stent Bl has a shape of fallopian tube with the diameter gradually increasing toward the top end thereof and is protruded out of said artificial blood vessel A.
2. The stent for a blood vessel of claim 1, wherein one or more blood passing holes 1 are punched in said artificial blood vessel A.
3. The stent for a blood vessel of claim 1, wherein a fixing hook 3 is formed at the top end portion of said upper cylindrical stent Bl protruded out of the artificial blood vessel A.
4. The stent for a blood vessel of claim 1, wherein said upper cylindrical stent Bl has a structure in which valley portions V of a topmost wire Wl composing the stent and peak portions P of a wire W2 located just below the topmost wire cross each other form rhombic cells 2.
5. The stent for a blood vessel of claim 1, wherein said lower cylindrical stent B3 has a structure in which peak portions P of a bottommost end wire WlO composing the stent and valley portions V of a wire W9 arrayed just above said bottommost end wire cross each other to form rhombic cells 2.
6. The stent for a blood vessel of claim 2, wherein the peak portions P of the wire W2 located just above said blood passing hole 1 and the valley portions V of the wire Wl located above it cross each other to form rhombic cells 2.
7. The stent for a blood vessel of claim 2, wherein valley portions V of a wire W3 located just below said blood passing hole 1 and peak portions P of a wire W4 located below it cross each other to form rhombic cells 2.
8. The stent for a blood vessel of claim 2, further comprising supporting wires S for connecting valley portions V of a wire located at the top end of the blood passing hole 1 lengthwise of the cylindrical stent and peak portions P of a wire located at the lower end of the blood passing hole 1 are installed respectively on the left and right of said blood pεLSsing hole 1.
