Abstract

L'invention concerne un fil composé d'une enveloppe de coton brut. Le fil de l'invention est du type comprenant un élément central, par exemple un fil porteur, et un élément enveloppant qui entoure l'élément central fil porteur. Ledit fil est caractérisé en ce qu'il est formé à partir d'une masse compacte de fibres de coton brut issu d'un procédé utilisant une carde ou un peigne en forme de bande. Ladite masse de bande de coton est assemblée au fil porteur (2) de façon à entourer ce dernier uniformément et de sorte que ladite masse de la bande (3) reste attachée sur ledit fil porteur (2).
