Abstract
The invention relates to a device (100) having a stimulation unit (11) for generating an acoustic stimulation signal (15), by means of which a population of neurons, having pathologically synchronous and oscillatory neuronal activity, is stimulated via an uptake in an ear of a patient, wherein the acoustic stimulation signal (15) has at least a first frequency and a second frequency, and the first and/or the second frequencies cause the phase of the neuronal activity of a first and/or of a second subpopulation of the stimulated neuron population to be canceled.
