Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Aufbringen eines Bildes mittels eines Ausgabegeräts auf einen Datenträger (10), insbesondere auf eine Daten- oder Ausweiskarte (10). Um die Fälschungssicherheit des Datenträgers weiter zu erhöhen, ist als neuartiges Sicherheitsmerkmal Zusatzinformation für das unbewaffnete menschliche Auge unsichtbar in ein aufzubringendes Bild integriert. Hierzu ist vorgesehen, dass das aufzubringende Bild aus einer Vielzahl von Bildpunkten besteht, denen jeweils positive Grau- oder Helligkeitswerte zugeordnet sind, dass die Anzahl der Bildpunkte des Bildes an das Ortsauflösungsvermögen des Ausgabegeräts angepasst wird, dass in das erkennbare Bild einzubettende Zusatzinformation aus einer Vielzahl von Bildpunkten entsprechend dem Ortsauflösungsvermögen des Ausgabegeräts besteht, denen jeweils positive und negative Grau- oder Helligkeitswerte zugeordnet sind, dass die Grau- oder Helligkeitswerte der Bildpunkte der einzubettenden Zusatzinformation den Grau- oder Helligkeitswerten der Bildpunkte des Bildes überlagert werden, und dass das aufzubringende Bild unter Verwendung der so erhaltenen Grau- oder Helligkeitswerte Bildpunkt für Bildpunkt auf dem Datenträger aufgezeichnet wird.
