Abstract
L'invention concerne un joint d'étanchéité à cassette qui est placé entre deux éléments (1, 2) d'un module disposés coaxialement et de manière à pouvoir tourner l'un par rapport à l'autre et qui est destiné à rendre étanche l'intérieur du module. Le joint d'étanchéité à cassette se compose d'un disque d'étanchéité (3) disposé à l'intérieur en direction axiale et d'un disque centrifuge (4) disposé à l'extérieur en direction axiale, avec des sections transversales essentiellement en forme de L, le disque d'étanchéité (3) et le disque centrifuge (4) définissant avec des extensions radiales (5, 7) de leurs sections transversales une surface rectangulaire, tandis qu'ils sont respectivement reliés fixement par des extensions axiales de leurs sections transversales à l'élément associé (1; 2) du module, et le disque d'étanchéité (3) présentant au moins une lèvre d'étanchéité (6) qui est en contact avec le disque centrifuge (4) pour rendre étanche l'intérieur. Selon l'invention, le disque centrifuge (4) présente sur le côté intérieur de son extension radiale (7) une lèvre d'étanchéité (8) qui est en contact en direction axiale avec l'extension radiale (5) du disque d'étanchéité (3) quand l'élément (2) relié au disque centrifuge (4) est à l'arrêt ou tourne à petite vitesse, tandis qu'il se soulève du disque d'étanchéité (3) en direction radiale à partir d'une vitesse définie en raison des forces centrifuges en action.
