A method for controlling access to applications via a portal and for enabling the presentation of commercial advertisement.

Description

Advertisement banners from any standard application
Methodology:
Irrespective of the application being run on the machine, the screen will always display at least two banners on both sides of the screen. One banner contains a portal application menu while the other(s) will show the ad while one is working with selected other applications. A third banner could well contain icons.

This invention will be the sole right of InfoQuest Group.
Legacy technology
This invention is based on standard computer applications.
New and unique
The uniqueness of this solution lies in that applications/information area accessed via a portal, as opposed to directly on a screen. Upon selecting an application or area of interest, the portals is reduced in size and constrained to two [say 5 x 9 cm] or more areas on the screen. One area remains available for a menu while the other(s) can be used for the display of commercial adverts.
Whereas the display of commercial ads has traditionally been limited to viewing through browser applications, this method provides an application- and network independent means of presenting such collaterals.
