Definitions
- the present invention relates to a golf glove, and more particularly to a golf glove, which has embossing members partially attached to the front end of a palm part of the glove contacting a club and finger parts of the glove to serve as a stable and regular grip guide, distribute grasping power to be capable of powerfully griping the club, reduce the torsion of the club on impact to prevent the generation of a slice and a hook, and remove a gap between the club and the palmar surface of the glove when the club is gripped by a user's hand with the golf glove on to allow a user to stably and firmly grip the club.
- golf gloves are mainly put on by a right-handed golfer on his/her left hand in playing golf to protect the hand and prevent the running idle of a grip of a club in the left hand of the golfer when the hand is sweaty or exposed to moisture.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a golf glove, which has embossing members partially attached to the front end of a palm part of the glove contacting a club and finger parts of the glove to serve as a stable and regular grip guide, distribute grasping power to be capable of powerfully griping the club, reduce the torsion of the club on impact to prevent the generation of a slice and a hook, and remove a gap between the club and the palmar surface of the glove when the club is gripped by a user's hand with the golf glove on to allow a user to stably and firmly grip the club.

- FIG. 1 is a view illustrating a state of a golf glove, in which a user grips a club with the golf glove on, in accordance one embodiment of the present invention
- FIG. 2 is a view illustrating the palmar surface of the golf glove of FIG. 1;
- FIG. 3 is a view illustrating the palmar surface of a golf glove in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
- a golf glove in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a glove main body 100, and embossing members 120, as shown in FIGs. 1 and 2.
- the glove main body 100 includes a finger connection part, a thumb part 102, an index finger part 104, a middle finger part 106, a ring finger part 108, and a little finger part 110, such that the glove main body 100 can be put on by a user's hand.
- the glove main body 100 is made of any one out of natural leather, synthetic leather, and Lycra.
- elastic fabric is connected to a region of the glove main body 100 connected to the thumb part 102, and is cut several times in the same direction as the insertion direction of a thumb into the glove main body 100 to be capable of keep its original form.
- the embossing members 120 are partially attached to the rear end of the finger connection part of the palmar surface of the glove main body 100, contacting a club (C), i.e., the front end of a palm part, and the remaining region of the palmar surface except for the thumb part 102 and the index finger part 104.
- a club (C) i.e., the front end of a palm part
- the reason is that grasping power is concentrated on the middle finger part 106, the ring finger part 108, and the little finger part 110, when the club (C) is gripped by the user's hand with the golf glove on.
- the embossing member 120 which is provided at the palm part, is attached to the palm part by sewing under the condition that the embossing member 120 is inclined in parallel with the club (C), thus dispersing the grasping power and providing a firm grip when the club (C) is gripped by the user's hand with the golf glove.
- the embossing members 120 are made of any one out of natural leather, synthetic leather, Lycra, and transparent silicon, in the same manner as the material for the glove main body 100.
- the embossing members 120 which are provided at central portions of third knuckles of the middle finger part 106 and the ring finger part 108, may have the same or different red type colors (for example, orange) to improve appearance and discrimination of the golf glove.
- the embossing member 120 which is provided at the palm part, is formed in an Arabic numeral " 1 " shape, an Arabic numeral "11” shape, or a bending shape.
- the embossing member 120 serves to surround the outer surface of a grip (G) of the club (C) to prevent the grip (G) from sliding
- the embossing member 120 provided at the palm part is formed in an Arabic numeral "11” shape
- the embossing member 120 is inclined in the same manner as the embossing member 120 in the Arabic numeral " 1” shape and serves to fix the grip (G) located between two parallel portions of the embossing member 120 and surround the outer surface of the grip (G).
- the embossing members 120 are not limited to the above shapes, but may have various shapes, such as a straight shape, a curved shape
- the embossing members 120 are respectively provided at the tips of the middle finger part 106 and the ring finger part 108 and positions separated from the tips, i.e., the tips and the central portions of second and third knuckles of the middle finger part 106 and the ring finger part 108, and at the tip of the little finger part 110 by sewing.
- the embossing members 120 contact and surround the outer surface of the grip (G) of the club (C) when a user's hand grips the club (C) with the golf glove on, and serves as a grip guide with stable and regular grasping power.
- the golf glove of the present invention having the embossing members 120 allows a user to get rid of muscle stiffness in his/her shoulders and loose unnecessary force, and to achieve a powerful grip through force distribution of fingers, reduces the torsion of the club (C) on impact to prevent the generation of a slice and a hook, and removes a gap between the club (C) and the palmar surface of the glove when the club (C) is gripped by a user's hand with the golf glove on to allow the user to stably and firmly grip the club (C).
- a golf glove in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention includes a glove main body 200, and embossing members 220, as shown in FIG. 3, and the main body 200 in this embodiment has the same structure and function as that of the main body 100 in the earlier embodiment, and a detailed description thereof will thus be omitted because it is considered to be unnecessary.
- the embossing members 220 are partially attached to the rear end of a finger connection part of the palmar surface of the glove main body 200, contacting a club (C), i.e., the front end of a palm part, and the remaining region of the palmar surface except for a thumb part 202 and an index finger 204.
- a club (C) i.e., the front end of a palm part
- the reason is that grasping power is concentrated on a middle finger part 206, a ring finger part 208, and a little finger part 210, when the club (C) is gripped by a user's hand with the golf glove on.
- the embossing member 220 which is provided at the palm part, is attached to the palm part by sewing such that the embossing member 120 is inclined in parallel with the club (C), and the front end of the embossing member 120 is formed in an Arabic numeral
- the embossing members 120 are not limited to the above shapes, but may have various shapes, such as a bending shape, a straight shape, a curved shape, or a straight and curve combination shape.
- the material for the embossing members 220 is the same as that in the earlier embodiment, and a detailed description thereof will thus be omitted because it is considered to be unnecessary.
- the embossing member 220 serves to surround the outer surface of the grip (G) of the club (C) to prevent the grip (G) from sliding, and in case that the embossing member 220 provided at the palm part is formed in an Arabic numeral "11" shape, the embossing member 220 is inclined in the same manner as the embossing member 120 in the Arabic numeral " 1" shape and serves to fix the grip (G) located between two parallel portions of the embossing member 220 and surround the outer surface of the grip (G).
- the embossing members 220 are respectively provided at the tips of the middle finger part 206 and the ring finger part 208 of the glove main body 200 and positions separated from the tips, i.e., the tips and the central portions of second and third knuckles of the middle finger part 206 and the ring finger part 208, and at the tip of the little finger part 210 by sewing.
- the embossing members 220 which are respectively provided at central portions of third knuckles of the middle finger part 206 and the ring finger part 208, may have the same or different red type colors (for example, orange) to improve appearance and discrimination of the golf glove.
- the golf glove of the present invention has embossing members partially attached to the front end of a palm part of the glove contacting a club and finger parts of the glove to serve as a stable and regular grip guide, distribute grasping power to be capable of powerfully griping the club, reduce the torsion of the club on impact to prevent the generation of a slice and a hook, and remove a gap between the club and the palmar surface of the glove when the club is gripped by a user's hand with the golf glove on to allow a user to stably and firmly grip the club.
