Abstract

 インペラと、タービンと、ステータとを備えるトルクコンバータが開示される。インペラは、トルクが入力されて軸線回りに回転する。タービンは、インペラと同軸上であって同インペラと対向する位置に回転可能に配置される。ステータは、インペラ及びタービンの間に設けられて、両者の間に介在する流体のタービンからインペラへの流れを調整するステータブレードを有する。インペラ、タービン、及びステータがトーラスを形成し、トーラスの内部に存在する流体により、インペラとタービンとの間でトルクが伝達される。トーラスの内径と外径との比であるトーラス内外径比は0.55~0.68の範囲内に設定される。インペラ及びタービンの軸線に対する、ステータブレードにおけるインペラ側の部分の傾斜角度である出口角度は、30~40°の範囲内に設定される。
