Abstract

 本発明は、逆相懸濁重合法で製造された吸水性樹脂において、前記吸水性樹脂中に含まれる逆相懸濁重合に使用された石油系炭化水素分散媒の残存量が少なく、吸水性樹脂が吸水した際の石油系炭化水素分散媒に由来する臭気が低減された、衛生材用途に適した吸水性樹脂、吸収体および吸収性物品を提供する。より詳しくは、水溶性エチレン性不飽和単量体水溶液を石油系炭化水素分散媒中で界面活性剤の存在下に逆相懸濁重合することにより得られる吸水性樹脂であって、前記吸水性樹脂中の前記石油系炭化水素分散媒の残存量が2,000ppm以下である吸水性樹脂、ならびにそれを用いた吸収体および吸収性物品を提供する。
