Abstract
It is an object to provide a lighting device that uses a fluorescent light emitting device, is stable in brightness, and has a high lighting effect. A UV-LED array (15) as an exciting light generating source is arranged at the lower side of a top plate (3) of a housing (2). A lens unit (23) is set at a position apart in space from the UV-LED array (15). The lens unit (23) is provided with a convex lens (25), an SWPF (30) is formed on an upper layer (UV-LED array (15) side) of the convex lens (25) and an LWPF (31) is formed at the front of the convex lens (25). Ultraviolet light (exciting light) passing through the SWPF (30) generates white fluorescence at a fluorescent layer (29), and the white fluorescence passes through an LWPF (31) and arrives at the front as illumination light. The ultraviolet light that does not excite fluorescence is reflected from the LWPF (31) to return to the fluorescent layer (29). The lens unit (23) can be moved up and down in the housing (2).
