Abstract

An electronic watermark embedding method makes it possible to detect a watermark pattern image embedded as electronic watermark information even in the case where a downsizing process is carried out to reduce an image size of a dynamic image into which the watermark pattern image is embedded as electronic watermark information. In the electronic watermark embedding method wherein a watermark pattern image as an electronic watermark is inserted and embedded in each frame image composing the dynamic image, a base is made in a frequency space, basic components of a pattern are inserted and embedded into the base, and a reverse Fourier transformation for the base into which the basic components are inserted is carried out, so that the watermark pattern image embedded as the electronic watermark in each frame image composing the dynamic image is formed.
