- the measurement of blood glucose values is a standard procedure in routine medical analysis. If a glucose tolerance test is carried out, the blood sugar level of a diabetic will be in excess of 200 mg of glucose per dl_ (1 1.1 mmol/l) of plasma 2 hours after 75 g of glucose have been taken on an empty stomach. - Saxagliptin may be administered to a patient at a daily dose of between 2.5 mg/day and 100 mg/day, optionally between 2.5 mg and 50 mg.
- Specific dosage amounts that may be used include, but are not limited to 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg , 40 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg of saxagliptin per day.
- both active ingredients may be present in a single dosage form, for example in a tablet or capsule, or each active ingredient may be present in a separate dosage form, for example in two different or identical dosage forms.

Abstract
L'invention porte sur une composition pharmaceutique selon la revendication 1 comprenant un dérivé de pyrazole-O-glucoside en combinaison avec un inhibiteur de DPP IV qui est approprié dans le traitement ou la prévention d'une ou plusieurs affections choisies parmi le diabète sucré de type 1, le diabète sucré de type 2, la tolérance au glucose défectueuse et l'hyperglycémie. De plus, la présente invention porte sur des procédés pour prévenir ou traiter des troubles métaboliques et des affections apparentées.
