Abstract
3色のレーザ光源を有し、3色のレーザ光を1つに合成して射出する小型の光源ユニットを提供する。このため、第1の光源と、第1の光源が射出する光の波長より短波長の光を射出する第2の光源と、第1の光源が射出する光の波長及び第2の光源が射出する光の波長のいずれの波長とも異なる波長の光を射出する第3の光源と、第1の光源、第2の光源及び第3の光源から射出される光束を重ね合わせて1つの光束にする光束合成部と、を備えた光源ユニットにおいて、第1の光源と第2の光源は隣接もしくは若干の距離をおいて並列配置し、隣接し、第1の光源、第2の光源及び第3の光源から射出する各光束の光軸は、互いに平行で、光軸に垂直な1つの平面と第1の光源、第2の光源及び第3の光源の各光軸が交差する第1の点、第2の点及び第3の点を頂点とする三角形の第1の点の第1の内角及び第2の点の第2の内角は、略直角以下である。
