Abstract

　３色のレーザ光源を有し、３色のレーザ光を１つに合成して射出する小型の光源ユニットを提供する。このため、第１の光源と、第１の光源が射出する光の波長より短波長の光を射出する第２の光源と、第１の光源が射出する光の波長及び第２の光源が射出する光の波長のいずれの波長とも異なる波長の光を射出する第３の光源と、第１の光源、第２の光源及び第３の光源から射出される光束を重ね合わせて１つの光束にする光束合成部と、を備えた光源ユニットにおいて、第１の光源と第２の光源は隣接もしくは若干の距離をおいて並列配置し、隣接し、第１の光源、第２の光源及び第３の光源から射出する各光束の光軸は、互いに平行で、光軸に垂直な１つの平面と第１の光源、第２の光源及び第３の光源の各光軸が交差する第１の点、第２の点及び第３の点を頂点とする三角形の第１の点の第１の内角及び第２の点の第２の内角は、略直角以下である。
