Abstract

 多層光記録媒体の前記情報記録層に照射する記録光の記録パワーを設定する際に、評価対象となる情報記録層より光入射面側に配置される情報記録層の全てが低透過率状態となる場合に、評価対象となる情報記録層の記録パワーを評価し、一方、評価対象となる情報記録層より光入射面側に配置される情報記録層の全てが低透過率状態となる場合に、評価対象となる情報記録層の記録パワーを評価し、更に、これらの記録パワーに基づいて、記録パワー設定用の依拠情報を決定するようにした。この結果、多層光記録媒体において、記録光の記録パワーを適切に設定できるようにする。
