Definitions
- the present invention relates to mobile communication technologies, and more particularly to a multicast/broadcast service load statistics method and related equipment.
- Unicast is data transmission to a specific host.
- the data link layer has a very specific destination address in the data header, and the destination address points to a single receiving interface. In this manner, communication between any two hosts is performed. Will not interfere with other hosts in the network. However, sometimes a host sends frames to all other hosts on the network, which is broadcast. Multicast is between unicast and broadcast, and frames are only transmitted to multiple hosts belonging to a multicast group.
- Multicast Broadcast Service is a data transmission service from a single point to multiple points on the downlink. Since the MBS service implements point-to-multipoint data transmission on the downlink, the BS uses a lower coding rate relative to unicast in order to ensure the reliability of data received by all mobile terminals (Mobile Stations: MSs) in the cell. However, when the reduction of the load in the cell enables the BS to perform data transmission for each MS in a unicast manner, a unicast method with a higher coding rate is generated to provide a higher quality of service data transmission for each MS. Demand. Therefore, the prior art has proposed the need for MBS to transfer to unicast, and has proposed a Single Frequency Network (SFN) technology.
- SFN Single Frequency Network
- the SFN refers to a technology in which a plurality of BSs simultaneously transmit the same MBS data on the same subcarrier, which is used to improve the performance of the MBS. Therefore, correspondingly, there will be a case where the SFN is transferred to the non-SFN and the non-SFN is transferred to the SFN, and one of the factors generated by the situation is determined by the cell load, and the MSB or SFN technology is selected according to the load condition in the cell. Provide flexible and efficient services for each MS. In summary, there is a need in the prior art to provide a method for performing statistics on the current load of the MBS.
- the mobile terminal in the MBS includes an active mode and is idle. Idle mode and sleep mode.
- the BS can be aware of whether the MS in the active state and the sleep state is enjoying the service of the MBS. Therefore, the BS can perform statistics on the MBS load of the MS in the active state and the sleep state.
- the multiple BS access means that multiple BSs simultaneously send the same MBS data on the same time domain and frequency domain resources.
- the BS that sends the same MBS data with the same Connection Identifier (CID) and the same Security Association (SA) constitutes a set of BSs. This set is called MBS. Area (MBS Zone).
- MBS Zone MBS Zone Area
- MBS Zone ID MBS Zone Identifier
- the method for the mobile terminal to receive the MBS data in the MBS Zone is specifically: the MS obtains the MBS Zone ID when communicating with the BS, and if the MS that obtains the MBS Zone ID enters the Idle mode, the MS can continue to broadcast the same MBS Zone.
- the BS receives the same MBS data, and the MS can continue to receive the MBS data using the CID and SA obtained at the time of registration. If the MS in Idle mode moves to another MBS Zone, the MS needs to register at the BS in the new MBS Zone, thus obtaining a new CID and SA to continue receiving MBS data.
- the BS does not manage the MS in the idle state in the cell, and the MS in the idle state can receive the MBS service data by using the CID and the SA obtained during registration. . Therefore, in this case, although the MS in the idle state becomes the load of the MBS service in the cell, the BS cannot know the situation that the MS in the idle state enjoys the MBS service, and thus the MBS load statistics in the cell cannot be completed.
- a technical problem to be solved by an embodiment of the present invention is to provide a multicast/broadcast service load statistics.
- the method can perform load statistics on a mobile terminal in an idle state.
- the embodiment provided by the present invention is implemented by the following technical solutions: For a determined MBS, the base station BS assigns an uplink feedback resource to the mobile terminal MS in an idle state; the BS detects the uplink feedback resource. The information fed back by the MS is used to identify the information of the MBS service, and the number of received messages is counted.
- a further embodiment of the present invention is to provide a base station device, including: an uplink resource assignment unit, configured to specify an uplink feedback resource, and an information encapsulating unit, configured to add information of the uplink feedback resource to a pre-
- the sending unit is configured to send, to the MS in the idle state, a protocol data packet PDU that includes the uplink feedback resource information.
- a further embodiment of the present invention provides a mobile terminal, including: a receiving unit, configured to acquire a protocol data packet PDU sent by a base station; a parsing unit, acquiring information of an uplink feedback resource included in the PDU; a feedback unit, occupying The uplink feedback resource performs load feedback; and the sending unit sends the load feedback information.
- the BS performs load statistics feedback for the MS to indicate the uplink resource, so that the MS in the idle state can perform load feedback to the BS, so that the BS can count the idle state of the MS to enjoy a certain MBS service.
- the statistics of MBS load can be realized.

- embodiments of the present invention are directed to implementing MBS load statistics. To achieve the object, embodiments of the present invention are specifically described below.
- the downlink assignment refers to indicating an attribute of the downlink data or the management message on the downlink, where the attribute includes: a location where the downlink data or the burst where the management message is located is located on the downlink, The size of the downlink data or management message, the modulation coding method used, and the like. Accordingly, the MS can demodulate and decode in a suitable manner according to this indication to the corresponding location.
- the uplink assignment refers to the location and size that the BS can notify the MS uplink data and the burst where the management message is located on the uplink, and the modulation and coding mode that the burst needs to use. Accordingly, the MS sends an uplink burst according to the indication in the corresponding position of the uplink in a suitable modulation and coding manner, so that the BS can demodulate and decode the uplink data or the management message in a corresponding manner in a corresponding manner. .
- downlink assignment cells DL-MAP-IE() there are several downlink assignment cells DL-MAP-IE(), and the data block on the resource block assigned by DL-MAP_IE() is called a downlink burst.
- DL-MAP The downlink burst specified by IE() is encoded and modulated by the modulation and coding scheme specified in DL-MAP-IE(); a downlink burst may have multiple MS data, or may be multicast broadcast data.
- DL-MAP-IE There are several UL-MAP-IE(), one UL-MAP- IE() data block on the resource block is called an uplink burst.
- UL-MAP - The uplink burst specified by IE() is encoded and modulated by the modulation and coding scheme specified in UL-MAP-IE().
- a first embodiment of the MBS load statistics of the present invention will be specifically described.
- the BS when load statistics are required, the BS first indicates that the MS in the Idle mode parses the uplink assignment and the information of the frame in which the uplink assignment is located, and then the BS specifies one or more blocks for load statistics in the uplink assignment.
- Upstream feedback resource the specified method is that the BS indicates the frame offset, location, and size of the uplink feedback resource in the uplink assigned cell; when the MS resolves to have its own MBS service pair After the assignment of the uplink feedback resource, the MS selects a resource on the specified resource to send feedback information; the BS uses the number of feedback information received as the Idle mode MS load to enjoy the MBS service.
- Step 11 When the BS needs to perform load statistics, it first indicates that the MS of the Idle mode resolves the uplink assignment and the information of the frame where the uplink assignment is located.
- the method for indicating the MS parsing uplink assignment (UL-MAP) of the Idle mode and the information of the uplink assignment frame includes: Method 1), transmitting the assignment by using a management message, specifically, a letter assigned in the MBS data
- the element carries the indication bit and the frame information of the uplink assignment; and the method 2) carries the indication bit in the Medium Access Control (MAC) header of the Protocol Data Unit (PDU) of the MBS and The frame information of the uplink assignment.
- MAC Medium Access Control
- PDU Protocol Data Unit
- Method 1) Add an indicator bit to the cell to which the MBS data is assigned to indicate that the MS needs to resolve the uplink assignment and the frame information of the uplink assignment.
- Table 1 Three types of MBS data assignment cells are defined in the prior art.
- Table 2 and Table 3 respectively show the method of adding the indication bits and the frame information of the uplink assignment.
- Next MBS OFDMA Symbol Offset 8 The orthogonal frequency division multiplexing symbol offset of the next multicast broadcast service.
- MBS_DATA_IE() contains the MBS Counting feedback allocation indication bitmap, the number of feedback assignments, and the feedback allocation of multicast broadcast traffic load statistics.
- the frame offset of the frame in which the uplink assignment is located (MBS Counting feedback allocation frame offset(p)). Therefore, when the MS parses the MBS Counting feedback allocation indication bitmap of the feedback allocation indication of the multicast broadcast service load statistics corresponding to the CID of the MBS service, the MS considers that The MBS service has an assignment of the feedback resource, and the uplink assignment can be parsed according to the corresponding frame offset to obtain the assignment information of the uplink feedback resource.
- the Extended-MBS-DATA-IE() contains the MBS Counting feedback allocation indication bitmap, the number of feedback assignments, and the multicast broadcast traffic load.
- the MBS Counting feedback allocation frame offset(p) is the frame offset of the uplink assignment where the statistical feedback is allocated. Therefore, when the MS parses the MBS Counting feedback allocation indication bitmap of the multicast broadcast service load statistics corresponding to the CID of the MBS service, the MSS has the feedback resource corresponding to the MBS service. And, according to the corresponding frame offset, the uplink assignment is parsed according to the corresponding frame to obtain the assignment information of the uplink feedback resource.
- MBS_DATA_Time_Diversity-IE() contains the feedback allocation indication of the multicast broadcast service load statistics and the frame offset of the frame where the uplink assignment of the multicast broadcast service load statistics is located. (MB S Counting feedback allocation frame offset(p) ). Therefore, when the MS parses the feedback allocation indication position bit of the multicast broadcast service load statistics corresponding to the CID of the MBS service of the MBS service, it is considered that the allocation corresponding to the MBS service has feedback resources, and then the corresponding frame may be offset to the corresponding frame. The uplink assignment is parsed to obtain the assignment information of the uplink feedback resource.
- Method 2 carrying an indication bit in a MAC header of the MBS data PDU
- An indication bit is added to the MAC header of the downlink MBS data PDU to indicate that the MS needs to resolve the UL-MAP, and the frame offset information of the UL-MAP to be solved is increased.
- the method for carrying the MBS load to carry the statistics of the uplink assignment indicator bit by using the MAC sub-head can be extended by the technical personnel in the related art by referring to the related provisions of the MAC sub-header. This article will not be described in detail.
- a method of carrying an indication bit and frame offset information by a MAC extension subheader is provided below.
- a new MAC extension subheader is used to carry information such as the indication bit and the frame offset of the MBS load statistics uplink assignment.
- the MBS load statistics uplink assignment extension subheader carrying the above information is given below. Specific forms.
- Table 4 MBS Load Statistics Upstream Assignment Indicates Extended Subhead Format
- the MS resolves to the MBS load statistics uplink assignment extension subheader, according to the indication bit and the frame offset, the corresponding frame parsing uplink assignment can be obtained to obtain the assignment information of the uplink feedback resource.
- Step 12 The BS specifies one or more uplink feedback resources in the corresponding uplink assignment (UL-MAP).
- the specified method is that the BS gives the frame offset, position and size of the load statistics feedback resource in the UL-MAP.
- Step 13 The MS parses the uplink assignment of the load statistics feedback resource corresponding to the MBS service, and the MS selects a resource on the resource specified in the uplink assignment for feedback.
- the method of feedback is that the MS sends feedback information on the selected uplink resource.
- FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of an MBS load statistics feedback resource block.
- the resources are divided in the time domain and the frequency domain.
- the digital part is the feedback resource part, and the MS can occupy the part on the uplink
- One resource block is divided into load statistics feedback, the number indicates the serial number of the feedback resource, and "empty" indicates that no information is sent.
- This part is the spare protection part. The main purpose is to prevent the feedback information sent by the MS from causing interference to subsequent data.
- the MS selects a resource on the resource block as shown in Figure 2 for feedback. If a random selection method is used, the random selection may be to obey the average distribution or to map the hash value of the MS to the sequence number of the resource. Those skilled in the art can also implement MS selection of resource blocks by using other random or non-random algorithms. The present invention is not intended to limit the algorithms used herein.
- This embodiment provides a method for an MS to obey an average distribution to select a resource.
- the MS may first obtain the number of resource blocks for the MBS service load statistics, and set the value to N; the MS randomly generates an integer between 0 and N-1, and uses the obtained integer as the MS to send feedback information.
- the resource sequence number is fed back, and the MS can send the feedback information on the obtained feedback resource sequence number.
- the following describes an embodiment of transmitting feedback information on a feedback resource.
- feedback information sent by the MS There are many kinds of feedback information sent by the MS, and two of them are given here: A1) transmitting 1-bit feedback information; A2) transmitting a code for identifying a multicast service. Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) code.
- CDMA Code Division Multiple Access

- the vector index 0 of Table 6 is 8 QPSK modulated symbols.
- the specific format is as follows:
- Table 7 Symbol modulation table vector index of vector index 0 M n,%m M n, m + l +..., ⁇ n, m+ l
- FIG. 3 A method of mapping 8 modulated symbols on a Tile to a Partial Usage of Subchannels (PUSC) uplink subchannel or an optional PUSC uplink subchannel is shown in FIG. 3. As shown in the figure, there are 12 subcarriers, 4 of which are pilot subcarriers, and the other 8 subcarriers are used to map 8 of the modulated symbols respectively;
- Figure 4 shows the subcarrier mapping of the MBS load statistical feedback channel when the PUSC is optional. If there are 9 subcarriers in the picture, one of the subcarriers is a pilot subcarrier, and the other 8 subcarriers are used to map the 8 modulated symbols separately.
- the modulated symbol i.e., load feedback information
- the method of transmitting the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol can be repeated. For example, repeating once, two OFDM symbols having consecutive phases and the same sign are obtained.
- the method of constructing two consecutive OFDM symbols of the load statistical feedback information will be specifically described with reference to FIG. 5, however, the method does not limit the number of repetitions. Since the setting method of the cyclic prefix as shown in Fig. 5 is used, the phase of the OFDM symbol can be made continuous.
- the MS may also send a CDMA code identifying the enjoyment of the multicast service on the allocated feedback resource. If the BS needs the MS to send a CDMA code for feedback, then the feedback resource allocated in step 12 is the resource used to receive the CDMA code.
- the OFDM symbol shown in Fig. 5 can also be obtained when the modulated CDMA code is transmitted.
- the above CDMA code can be notified to the MS by the BS, or can be used by the MS at all for feedback.
- Select one of the CDMA codes to feed back There are many methods for the BS to notify the MS of the CDMA code used for MBS load statistics feedback. Two of them are given here: carried by the broadcast message; carried in the negotiation process of entering the idle state.
- the present invention does not limit the method for the BS to generate a CDMA code.

- TLV a TLV of the MBS User Index to the De/Reregister command: DREG-CMD message in the negotiation between the BS and the MS.
- the format of this TLV is as follows.
- the MBS User Index corresponds to a unique MBS service in the entire MBS Zone, and is mainly used to identify the MS of the Idle mode that enjoys an MBS service in the MBS Zone.
- the MBS User Index update method needs to be provided:
- the BS can update the MBS User Index for the MS.
- the MBS User Index of the MS that enjoys the Idle mode of the MBS can be allocated as much as possible, and when the load statistics are required, the allocated resources can be minimized.
- the BS assists the MS to update the MBS User Index.
- the following two types can be used: The MBS User Index is updated when the MS performs location update; or the MBS User Index is updated when the BS sends MBS data. The specific implementation of the two methods is provided below.
- Method 1 Update the MBS User Index when the location is updated.
- the Ranging Response (RNG-RSP) message sent by the BS carries the MBS User Index TLV, and the MS updates its MBS User Index after receiving the MBS User Index TLV.
- the MBS User Index in the TLV is as follows.
- the method of adding the MBS User Index TLV to the RNG-RSP is as follows.
- Table 26 TLV format for MBS User Index added in RNG-RSP
- Method 2 Update MBS User Index when sending MBS data
- the BS When the BS is transmitting multicast data, it can update the MBS User for the Idle mode MS.
- the specific method of Index 0 is to add a subheader or an extension subheader in the MAC header of the MBS data PDU.
- the subheader or extension subheader carries the old MBS User Index and the new MBS User Index.
- the MS receives the MBS data, the MS resolves to match the old MBS User Index with its own MBS User Index, and the MS updates its MBS User Index to the new MBS User Index in the MBS Data PDU MAC header.
- a plurality of such MBS User Index update information can be carried in one MBS data PDU.
- the following provides a specific form of adding the MAC extension subheader of the MBS User Index.
- Step 92 The BS specifies an uplink feedback resource of the load statistics to the MS.
- the method for the BS to assign an uplink feedback resource for load statistics includes:
- the BS in the transmitted MBS data PDU or the cell assigned in the MBS data indicates that the MS needs to resolve the uplink assignment.
- the BS allocates feedback resources for each MS that enters the Idle mode and enjoys the MBS service. .
- the number of resource blocks assigned in this embodiment is the maximum value of the allocated MBS User Index, and the In one embodiment, the number of uplink feedback resources is determined by the BS itself.
- the BS carries the resource assignment in the MAC sub-header of the MBS data PDU or the MAC extension sub-header or in the cell assigned by the MBS data. This resource is for each MS assignment that enters the Idle mode and enjoys the MBS service. Feedback resources. For the specific method, refer to the related content of the second embodiment. However, since the MBS User Index is used in this embodiment, the number of resource blocks assigned in this embodiment is the maximum value of the already allocated MBS User Index.
- the uplink feedback resource assigned here may be The entire SFN is synchronized, and the so-called SFN internal synchronization is the time-frequency of the uplink feedback allocated by each BS in the SFN.
- the source is the same.
- the feedback resources in the SFN are synchronized, the feedback received by each BS may be feedback of the MS within its entire coverage, and does not limit whether the MS that sends the feedback information synchronizes with itself.
- Step 93 The MS feeds back on the specified resource. Based on the correspondence between the MBS User Index and the feedback resource sequence number, the MS can obtain the specific location of the feedback resource used by the load statistics, and the MS can feedback on the specified resource.
- the information transmitted by the specific feedback is the same as that related to the first embodiment.
- Step 94 The BS uses the number of feedback information received on the entire MBS load statistical feedback resource as the Idle mode MS load of the MBS service; and then completes the MBS load statistics.
- the MBS User Index is used to allocate the uplink resources required for the load feedback of the MS, and the MS performs feedback on the allocated resources of the system.
- This embodiment avoids the conflicts caused by the MSs when they select the uplink resources, and prevents the different MSs from being fed back on the same uplink resources, so that the load statistics are reduced. Therefore, the load statistics obtained in this embodiment are more accurate.
- the storage medium may be a read only memory, a magnetic disk or an optical disk or the like.
- the method includes the following steps: For the determined MBS, the base station BS assigns an uplink feedback resource to the mobile terminal MS in the idle state; and the BS uses the feedback of the uplink feedback resource to detect the MS. Identifies the information that receives the MBS service, and counts the number of received messages.
