Abstract
生体の脳の成長や発達の程度、左脳と右脳の優位性、得意分野と不得意分野の識別、生体の個性等の生体の脳特性を解析することを可能にするための白質強調処理装置、白質強調処理方法及びプログラムを提供する。本発明の白質強調処理装置Aは、MRI装置Bにより撮影された生体の脳のコントラスト画像を入力して記憶する記憶部5と、記憶部5に記憶されたコントラスト画像に基づいて、白質を目立つように、かつ皮質を目立たないように調整することにより、白質を強調した白質強調画像を作成する白質強調画像作成部6と、白質強調画像作成部6によって作成された白質強調画像を出力部2に表示させる表示処理部7と、作成された白質強調画像の枝の数、太さ、長さ、位置、濃淡、形状又は大きさのいずれか又はそれらの組み合わせに基づいて、生体の脳特性を解析する枝ぶり解析部8とを有する。
