Abstract

A rotary compressor has an end plate member (40) and a muffler cover (70) for forming a muffler chamber (70A) together with the end plate member (40). A partition member (71) provided in the muffler chamber (70A) forms a stagnation space (71A) on the end plate member (40), and the stagnation space (71A) is separated from other portions in the muffler chamber (70A). That is, the stagnation space (71A) is formed by overlaying the partition member (71) on the end plate member (40).
