Abstract

Disclosed is a nonaqueous secondary battery comprising a negative electrode plate (303) containing a negative electrode active material (324) which is capable of reversibly absorbing/desorbing lithium, a positive electrode plate (301) containing lithium as a positive electrode active material (322), an electrolyte, a heat-resistant porous protective membrane (325) which is arranged between the negative electrode plate (303) and the positive electrode plate (301) and allows lithium ions to permeate therethrough, and a recess (352) for controlling deposition of a metal, which makes the metal deposited according to a preset voltage (Vs) to bridge between the negative electrode plate (303) and the positive electrode plate (301) when the preset voltage (Vs) is applied between the negative electrode plate (303) and the positive electrode plate (301).
