Abstract

A PDP display device is provided with a heat dissipating groove on the rear surface, thereby effectively cooling the PDP device. A plasma display device is comprised of front and rear side substrates disposed opposite to each other through a discharge space and a partition wall for sectioning a discharge space between those substrates, wherein the discharge in a cell sectioned by the partition wall carries out a light emitting display. The plasma display device is provided with a plurality of heat dissipating grooves that pass through in a longitudinal or oblique direction of substantially the center of the discharge space in the cell sectioned by the partition wall from a plan view on the rear side of the rear substrate.
