Abstract

A dog clutch (1OA) includes a gear piece (20) with plural teeth (22) formed on an outer periphery to form a teeth line (21); and a sleeve (30) with plural teeth (32) formed on an inner periphery to form a teeth line (31) meshing with the teeth line (21) of the gear piece (20). The state of the dog clutch (10A) is changed between an engaged state and a disengaged state, by moving the sleeve (30) in the direction of an axis (CL). A protruding portion (34) protruding in a circumferential direction is provided in at least one tooth (32a) of the sleeve (30) so that a recessed portion (35) is formed in the protruding portion (34). At least a portion of the tooth (22) of the gear piece (20) is housed in the recessed portion (35) so that at least the portion of the tooth (22) of the gear piece (20) overlaps with the at least one tooth (32a) of the sleeve (30), when the teeth lines (21, 31) mesh with each other.
