 このショーツ30は、図19に示すように、前身頃31の両側縁31a,31aと後身頃32の両側縁32a,32aの内側に沿って一定幅の帯状のドット接着樹脂部36を塗布してあり、矢印方向Aに示す指向性のドットパターン15により、ドット直径1.5mm、樹脂塗布面積率50%または70%で接着してある。
 このように構成されたショーツ30は、着用時、この部分のズレが着用バランスに与える影響が大きく要の部位となることから、この部分の着用生地面を安定させることができ着用時のバランスを安定させることに通じる。そして、接続部34を中心にその周囲にドットパターン15を設定することにより、接続部34の境界に加わる力を分散すると共に、側面周辺の着用面の状態を安定させる効果がある。特に側面部は、商品との接触摩擦力が大きい部位であり、この部分の状態を安定させることで、全体のバランスを維持することができるものである。

 このように構成されたショーツ30aは、前中心部に伸びを止める部分を設けることで、着用時の着用位置確認が容易になると共に、生地によっては腹部をサポートする効果が期待できると共に、ショーツの正面中央になるから、意匠形状にドット樹脂を塗布することも可能となり、外観優美なショーツになる。
