Abstract

The present invention relates to a peeling device (3) that is suitable for producing peeled grains. It comprises a housing having a housing interior chamber and having an inlet (13) for applying a moistened grain, an outlet for chaff (14) and an outlet (15) for grains. At least one brush (9) is arranged in the housing interior chamber. Furthermore, a contact path for the grain is provided along the brush (9) between the inlet (13) and the outlet (15) for the grains. The outlet (14) allows for chaff separated from the grain to exit the housing interior chamber when the grain comes in contact with the brush (9). The outlet for the grains (15) allows for the kernel separated from the grain by passing the brush (9) to exit the housing interior chamber. Furthermore a unit is provided comprising a peeling device (3) according to the invention, a moistening device (1), and a connecting device (2) for transferring the moistened grains from the moistening device (1) into the peeling device (3), suitable for providing deep cleaned and/or peeled grains. Furthermore, a method is provided for preparing the grain for peeling and to peel the grain. Finally a cereal product is provided by the invention, that comprises a grain free of the fruit and seed chaff with a complete endosperm.
