Abstract

The invention relates to a method for establishing and implementing towing of a structure (1) under water by means of a vessel (10) with a moon pool (11) and a superstructure (12). The vessel (10) is towed over the structure (1), a lifting truss (3) is connected to lifting points (4), a winch (13) with wire (14) via snatch block (15) suspended in the superstructure (12) takes the load and lifts structure (1) from the seabed, and moves to deeper water. A static wire (16) is connected to superstructure (12), and a guide line (2) with a calibrated guide weight (5) connected to the structure (1), is passed to the vessel's (10) forward part, and towing starts. Installation is started by the winch (13) taking the load, static wire (16) is slackened off, disconnected from the superstructure (12) and lowered. The guide line (2) with the guide weight (5) are disconnected. An installation weight (17) is connected to the structure (1), in order together with an ROV (18) to manipulate and control the direction of the structure (1) during installation. The winch (13) lowers the structure (1) down to the seabed, and wire (14) with installation weight (17) is disconnected and lifted up, whereby the installation is complete.
