Abstract

L'invention vise à proposer un marqueur de tumeur par lequel des cas de pronostic défavorable peuvent être distingués de cas de pronostic favorable à un rapport de discrimination élevé parmi les cas de tumeur du stroma gastro-intestinal. A cet effet, l'invention propose une composition médicale pour traiter une tumeur du stroma gastro-intestinal d'un patient qui est défini sur la base de l'expression de DDX39 parmi des patients souffrant de tumeur du stroma gastro-intestinal, laquelle composition comporte, comme ingrédient actif, du 4-(4-méthylpipérazin-1-ylméthyl)-N-[4-méthyl-3-(4-pyridin-3-yl)pyrimidin-2-ylamino)phényl]benzamide représenté par la formule suivante (I) : [Formule chimique 1] (I) ou un sel acceptable du point de vue pharmaceutique de celui-ci ; et sur un matériel et un procédé pour estimer le pronostic d'un patient souffrant de tumeur du stroma gastro-intestinal.
