Abstract
Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device having high emission luminance and low driving voltage. Also disclosed are an illuminating device and a display device each using such an organic electroluminescent device. The organic electroluminescent device is characterized by containing at least one compound represented by the following general formula (1). (In the formula (1), A represents a group represented by the above general formula (A), and a plurality of A's may be the same as or different from each other; n1 represents an integer of 6-8; X11 and X12 respectively represent a nitrogen atom or CR13; R13 and R14 respectively represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, but do not combine together to form a ring; when X11 and X12 both represent CR13, R13's may be the same as or different from each other; x represents an integer of 0 or 1, and when x is 1, -Y- and -Z- respectively represent a direct bond or -O-, -S- or -N(R15)-; and R15 represents a substituent.)
