Abstract

L'invention veut améliorer un matériau de protection contre l'incendie du type générique afin que sa sensibilité à l'eau et au CO2 soit nettement réduite par rapport au matériau connu de protection contre l'incendie, et qu'il présente en même temps une stabilité de forme accrue. À cet effet, selon l'invention, ledit matériau est constitué d'un premier composant principal et d'un second composant principal mélangés entre eux, sachant que le premier composant principal est exempt de silicate de sodium aqueux et constitué de silicate de potassium et/ou de ciment et/ou de vermiculite et/ou d'oxychlorure de magnésium et/ou de fibres céramiques liées, et que le deuxième composant principal est constitué de silicates alcalins.
