Abstract
Disclosed is a novel method for asymmetric synthesis of an intermediate of a pest control agent. Specifically disclosed is a method for catalytic asymmetric synthesis of an optically active isoxazoline compound represented by the formula (2) below, which is performed by reacting an α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound represented by the formula (1) below with a hydroxyl amine, in a solvent in the presence of a base and water, by adding a chiral phase-transfer catalyst.
