Abstract
表示部に第1および第2領域が設けられるとともに各領域にデータ信号線および走査信号線並びに画素が形成され、領域ごとに走査信号線が個別に走査されることによって第1領域にフレームの一部(上フィールド)が表示されるとともに第2領域に上記フレームの残部(下フィールド)が表示される表示装置において、各領域での走査方向は同一であり、フレーム0の表示では、第1領域末尾の走査信号線(G540)の走査から1水平走査期間(1H)後に第2領域先頭の走査信号線(G541)が走査され、フレーム0に続くフレーム1の表示では、第1領域末尾の走査信号線(G540)の走査と同じタイミングで第2領域先頭の走査信号線(G541)が走査される。上記構成によれば、表示部を第1および第2領域に分割して各領域を個別駆動する表示装置において、中央部の帯状のムラが視認されにくくなる。
