Abstract
A stop-off point information providing apparatus comprises history information generation means for generating history information including stay place information by using the information obtained from a predetermined apparatus, route information generation means for generating route information by a predetermined method by using the above history information, route type identification means for identifying the type of a route according to the condition such as a number of the same routes among the above route information, route-related information registration means for generating route-related information about the route identified by the route type identification means, registering the route-related information, generating stop-off point information based on feature information by using the route-related information at a predetermined timing, and registering the stop-off point information, and stop-off point information providing means for providing the stop-off point information. Therefore, the stop-off point information providing apparatus can provide the useful stop-off point information in comparison with the provision of stop-off point information generated merely according to a surrounding search.
