Abstract

 本発明の電気分解装置は、電解液に接する陽極および陰極を備え、前記陽極および前記陰極の少なくとも一方が、前記電解液を電気分解することにより気体が発生するガス生成面と、前記ガス生成面から他方の面に通じ、該ガス生成面で発生した前記気体を選択的に通過させる多数の貫通孔と、前記気体生成面から前記貫通孔を介して供給された前記気体を放出する、前記他方の面であるガス放出面と、を備える通気性構造の電気導電体からなる。前記ガス生成面に前記電解液に対して親液性となる表面処理および前記ガス放出面に前記電解液に対して疎液性となる表面処理の少なくとも一方の処理が施されている。
