Abstract

A laminate (1) of color filter substrates is made by laminating the color filter substrates (10) each having a light-permeable functional layer (12) formed on a partial area of the surface of a glass pane (11). Resin beads (30) for preventing the color filter substrates (10) from coming into contact with each other are removably disposed between two adjacent color filter substrates (10). The resin beads (30) are disposed at the positions where they are not brought into contact with any display area of the two substrates (10) holding the resin beads therebetween. Consequently, the laminate of the functional glass substrates in which the degradation of the display quality is prevented from occurring during its transportation and which has an excellent removal performance, and has a spacer member which does not exert a bad influence upon natural environments can be provided.
