Abstract

 本発明は、短絡が生じた場合の電池の温度上昇を十分に抑制することができる、高エネルギー密度を有する非水電解質二次電池を提供することを目的とする。  リチウムを吸蔵放出可能な正極活物質を含有する正極合剤層と正極芯材とを備える正極板5と、リチウムを吸蔵放出可能な負極活物質を含有する負極合剤層と負極芯材とを備える負極板6と、前記正極板と前記負極板との間に介在するセパレータ7と、非水電解質とを電池ケース2に封入してなる非水電解質二次電池であって、正極板5及び負極板6の少なくともいずれか一方が、充電状態において、50kg/cm2で加圧したときの厚み方向の極板抵抗が0.4Ω・cm2以上であることを特徴とする非水電解質二次電池1を用いる。
