Abstract

[PROBLEMS] To provide a resin composition for a light-diffusing film having excellent brightness. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Disclosed is a resin composition for a light-diffusing film, which comprises light-permeable particles (18) and a binder (16). In the particles (18), the number of particles each having a particle diameter of not less than 1 μm and less than 5 μm accounts for not less than 50% and less than 100% relative to the number of particles each having a particle diameter of not less than 1 μm and less than 25 μm. Further, the number of particles each having a particle diameter of 5 to 25 μm (inclusive) accounts for more than 0% and not more than 50% relative to the number of particles each having a particle diameter of not less than 1 μm. The particles (18) may comprise inorganic particles and organic particles. The ratio of the total mass (M1) of the inorganic particles and the total mass of the organic particles (M2) (i.e., a [M1/M2] ratio) may be 0.001 to 0.5 (inclusive). The inorganic particles may have a volume average particle diameter of 0.1 to 10.0 μm (inclusive). The organic particles may have a volume average particle diameter of 3.0 to 25.0 μm (inclusive).
