Abstract

The invention relates to a spread band mechanism comprising improved guidance of the spread band. Spread band mechanisms are used as machine elements for drive technology. The spread band mechanism according to the invention comprises a take-up roller for rolling up and unrolling the spread band. The spread band mechanism also comprises several rolling elements for the forced guidance of the spread band, said elements being located around the periphery of the spread band that has been rolled up on the take-up roller. Said rolling elements reduce the friction that occurs during the guidance of the spread band in comparison to guidance by a shoe according to prior art. The reduced friction leads to lower wear and thus to increased reliability and durability for the spread band guidance system.
